There are well over 40 factories in China. OEMS brands often shop around to find the factory that gives the best discount, or lowest price to meet their target. However, several things can be sacrificed for this low cost, such as quality control, energy efficiency ratings, poor after sales support (can’t get parts, shorter equipment life span etc)

VRF or Variable Refrigerant Flow is an HVAC technology where the refrigerant is conditioned by a single outdoor condensing unit and is circulated within the building to multiple fan-coil units (FCUs) where operation can be zoned. By operating at varying speeds, VRF units work only at the needed rate allowing for substantial energy savings at partial-load conditions. Today’s systems interface with Building Management systems (BMS) for advanced centralized control and monitoring capabilities. In Japan, VRFs are used in 50% of midsize office buildings (up to 70,000 ft2 or 6,500 m2) and 33% large commercial buildings (more than 70,000 ft2 or 6,500 m2). The technology is now being widely deployed in Jamaica in residential and commercial applications with significant energy savings realized in replacement projects.
